Recently, cities and towns throughout the state have been legislating against the use of Electronic Message Centers. Barlo Signs has taken a major role in helping to educate planners and business owners regarding the value of EMCs and ways that they can be regulated. In spite of these efforts, several towns have overreacted and passed comprehensive bans on all types of electronic signs including time and temperature. Barlo Signs, with assistance from the New Hampshire Sign Association, United States Sign Council, and International Sign Association, has challenged restrictive zoning ordinances in several NH municipalities.
